Mystahr is a Dutch mad scientist with a love for walking as far away from the envelopes as possible. Having been a professional DJ for about 15 years in 2000 he totally stopped spinning records. 2003 marked the year that he invested in his own home studio that has never stopped growing ever since. His love for all things electronics lead him to trying to become as independent as can be from computer sourced sounds, with a particular fondness of machinery from the 60's - 80's. Nowadays he likes to create live only experimenting with unusual so(u)rcery like feedback loops or circuit bent stompboxes.
POO! - or Point Of Origin, is a six-track concept album featuring pieces derived from and inspired by sampled voice over material from John Ingram, former host of NTNS Radio. The sampled material was mangled and mutilated into new soundscapes which provided the backdrop for Mystahr's mad experimental noodling. Encapsulating a breathtaking variety of sounds and styles, POO! delivers an eccentric listening experience like no other.
Having now released 7 albums; Poo! was Mystahr's very first album created back in 2005. This album is a mixture between computer-mangled soundage and live synthaging. Formerly released as a commercial album, Poo! is now being re-released for free as part of the anniversary celebration of NTNS radio. Mystahr is today's host of Not the normal shit radio.
